Tommy Hilfiger's Solar Panel Jacket provides a solution to keeping mobile devices charged while on the go. Designed in part by Pvilion, a Brooklyn-based innovator of flexible PV solar products, the jacket uses solar energy to charge a battery unit, which then charges devices. In direct sunlight, the jacket can capture more energy that what is needed to charge most mobile devices. 50% of net proceeds from the sale of the jacket go to the Fresh Air Fund, a nonprofit agency that provides funds for disadvantaged children from New York City to attend summer camps.Company
